The long-term peace between the 25 residents of a “tiny house” community and nature and local zoning officials in the town of Peterborough, New Hampshire ended in the official order of eviction of all community’s residents. Although the tiny house offers an attractive, affordable option for many residents of the “Live Free or Die” state by cutting down the unnecessary costs that make standard homes so expensive, it violates official codes which doesn’t make room for this type of building. The eviction have caused the original residents to live nowhere and attracted the notice of lawmakers who have introduced a bill that would have allowed the tiny house to be built in the residential plots, but it still failed to meet the requirements of the local zoning boards.
