Today is Monday.
Then it was the pentathlon games day and every students dressed like ancient Greek. Their parents and some younger students came to watch the games. The first game is tossing discus. Amelia wanted to prove to her mother that her practicing with her baking pan was an important thing. So she tried her best to spin and spin and then throw the discus far. Her score is the second. And the next event was one hundred meters dash. After the coach shouted, "GO!" Amelia dashed as fast as she can. Holly took the lead right away, with Wade, Teddy, and Dawn hot on her heels, which means following directly behind someone or very near to someone in rank, followed by Amelia Bedelia. Suddenly a student ahead fell down, causing a few of other students tumbled down too. Amelia jumped over them, but the others behind all fell down. Amelia and Holly both touched the finish line, neck and neck, which means exactly even, especially in a race or a contest. But Holly won by a nose, which means if a person or animal wins a race or competition by a nose, they win it by only very little.
