I am Alison.a Chinese teacher and also work as course designer for online courses and offline courses ( Spoken Chinese ; Business Chinese & HSK1-6 Preparison , Chinese Characters,Chinese Culture; Business Chinese Culture) And has been teaching Chinese more than 25,000 hours, almost 8 years. 3 years abroad , 5 years in Shanghai. Almost my students were adults, almost them are business people in Shanghai. Some of them are English teachers and university students.and some students are kids of my adults' students. Most my classes are one on one or small group classes maximum are 8 students.

Made hundreds - thousands of Chinese materials for classes - Word documents , PPTs, Videos, MP3,excel documents , Books for different kinds of courses and students. After I have a kid , I did a lot of language teaching trial activities on my kid in order to understand how people learn language in natural and good ways , and some what I can learn from my kid and use for my classes for my students .
Now I teach kids Chinese at a kindergarten. My kids are 4-6 years old. Now I feel I am a new teacher. Really learn a lot everyday from kids and my work.
Teach kids are really different from adults . Espeiclly the attention time and thinking development and memory and cognitive development of theare super different. So teaching methods and materials and study environment teachers creat for students are super different .
Now I really feel there is another world and window open for me. Everyday stay with them and aboserve them , understand them and teach them Chinese from morning to afternoon , one topic teach them in different subject lesson activities , for example last out topic is My Body. Kids learn Body part words in language activity and PE activity and game activity and science activity and art handcraft activity and also mathematics activity and picture story reading activity .
Language class activity we learn head , eyes , nose , mouth, ears, neck, stomach(tummy), legs , feet(foot) , we learn by body movement & body action and do picture worksheet and kids songs.and also combined what do we use different body parts .and than we had mathematics activity- account how many nose we have , how many eyes we have , how many ears .... and let the student write the numbers of each body part. And then express in Chinese what are on their paper . Afternoon we also make handcraft - make our body with 3 D clay / cup + ribbon + double-side tapes. And also we learned the boudaries of our body . What body parts people can touch what can not.
