I will tell you a piece of good news.It was about my sister and told to us by my counsin.
A few days ago, a 7-magnitude earthquake struck Jiuzhaigou , a well-known natural scenic spot.What a tragedy it was.In 2008, an earthquake hit Wenchuan which caused a heavy loss .Dujiangyan was also severely ruined,with buildings reduced to rubbles and numerous people died.What's worse,my sister was in Dujiangyan.We couldn't get in touch with her at the first place.My family were like ants on a hot pan.We were so far away from the disastrous city that we could do nothing at all.We seeked help from my counsin who was near to the place.Finally,my cousin got in contact with my sister.My cousin informed us of the good news that my sister was sound and safe.My sister said she saw two people ,one before her and the other after her ,die.It was a close call.
Do you agree the saying that challenges make a nation much stronger？
If we judge according to how people perform when disasters happen,the saying seem to be true.People tend to be united and helpful in diasters.Most time, people always learn a lesson from what happened and begin to cherish a day more .In this way,the whole nation are brought back to their feet especially days around the accidents.I don't think the positive effects of the diasters can hold a long time.What's more ,disasters inevitably cause heavy loss for a country,which will hold back the development.
