My hometown is a far-away little city on the national border of China and Russia. It is a lovely city with about half a million population near a beatiful river named Yili which means rich land for a king in ancient language. The city is famous for its beautifl sceneries like Salimu Lake and Nalati Meadow, every year especially in summer, tourists across the nation and even from abroad rush to my hometown to enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the delicious food like roast lambs and various kinds of fruits.
I was born and grew up there with many beatiful memories.I can still remember my football game in big snow in the dusk and my 10 years old birthday party near the river bank. I think that the life in small city is more relaxing and casual than the one in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Although now I'm living in Beijing , but I often go back to my hometown now and then because my parents are still living there. And I think after my retirement I may choose to go back to my hometown to live the rest of my life.
