The bar chart shows the percentage of Americans of the different ages who have television as a necessity. Overall, the oldest age group have the highest percentage in all age groups, which nearly 45 percent in this group. The group whose age between 51 to 61 and 41 to 51 have approximate ratio, they are both fluctuate between 30% to 35%. And then the percentage is slightly dropped to 25 percent, which just have a quarter in the 27 to 40 age group. American teenagers haven’t built a strong dependence on television, the percentage just have nearly 17% in the 18 to 26 age group, which is the smallest proportion.
