Dear Michelle,
I cannot imagine it has been 20 years, when I recall those days, it was just like in yesterday.
You 're 20 years old, so young that you have a long and unknown journey in front of you. I won't tell you what will happen to you in future, because I know you're the kind of person who is determined to pursue what you want, and learn lessons, regardless of what I've told you.
But still, I would like to share with you somewhat a collection of things I've learned.
If I were you, I would spend more time in the library, studying or reading, instead of missing the guy, who broke my heart and would be nobody in my future life. I recall the roommate told me: Michelle, keep in mind that you're getting better and he'll fall behind you farther. It is the truth, I can tell you now. So stop being stupid and move on.
You organized a couple of big events which were impactful in the campus, you're pretty good at coordination and communication, and I'd suggest you do more such kind of things, for instance involving in more club activities, which could help build self-confidence, develop public speaking ability, etc.
I strongly encourage you pick some other curriculums related to arts, whatever music or painting or writing, as you like. And keep them with you across the ages. When you feel upset during work, you can fell relax and be comforted by them. Trust me and you have art talents and perceptions and don't drop them, even though you don't need earn your living on them.
You keep asking "what kind of person will I become"? The answer is straightforward "just become yourself". Don't care outside validation, don't measure yourself benchmarking so-called success, just do what you really love.
The most important thing is to spend more time with parents, so that you won't regret when you getting older.
All in all, the future you lives not bad, with success and mistakes, ups and downs, bittersweet is what life would be. Be here now.
Yours
Future You
