In China's time, today is the Lantern Festival 元宵节. It's the fifteenth day of the Chinese New Year. I think this kind of ends the Chinese New Year holidays.
On this day, we usually eat 元宵 (called by Northen Chinese people) or 汤圆 (called by the Southern Chinese people), a sticky rice ball stuffed with sesame, red bean paste, nuts, etc. The skin is usually made of glutinous rice. We eat this because it sends good wishes like "healthy & happy families", and of course, because it's incredibly delicious!
Happy Lantern Festival 2017!
