Today is Wednesday.
Tommy and Annika looked at Pippi to see how to act as a Thing Finder. Pippi hunted from one side of the road to another, sometimes shading her eyes with her hand, crawling with her hands and knees, telling them that she had been sure that she had seen a lump of gold. Annika asked her if they should find everything on the ground and Pippi said yes. Then Pippi found an old man lying in the lawn of his yard. She told them she would take it, which made them utterly terrified. They stopped her and asked what she would do with him. Pippi thought for a while and told them that he could be kept in a rabbit hutch instead of a little rabbit and she could feed him with dandelions. But if they didn't want to do that, she would not be bothered if other Finders got him. Then Pippi yelled when she picked up a rusty tin can from the grass. Tommy looked at the can doubtfully and asked Pippi why she said it was a terrific find.
