Topic of today:
As you know, the new year is a time for resolutions. It is September now. I’d like to know how many people still keep their New Year’s ambitions. Actually, most of us may compile formidable lists of “dos and don’ts” on New Year Eve. For example, eat less to keep figure slim, learning English every day, reading more of an evening, do exercise every day and so on. However, sometimes, our schemes are too ambitious and we never have time to carry them out. On the other side, we also make the fundamental error of announcing our resolutions to everybody, so that we look even more foolish when we slip back into our old bad habits.
Aware of these pitfalls, last year I limited myself to three modest ambitious , to do exercise every day, to eat more vegetables and whole grains, and to learn English about 1 hour each day.
To achieve my goals, three ideas below are useful for me.
First , finding a team, which keep learning habits, is one of ways, like this group named JR English-听力角01, I can insist practice every day with other members from different cities in china.
My daily exercise often last about one hour, the self-discipline is required me to get up early, so I joined a group named JR English-早起团01. I will reply my time in this group when I get up in the morning and then I will start my personal plan. I always get up at 5:00am even on weekends and I have been keeping this habit for more than twenty months.
Finally, it’s important for me to find an icon friend, who always keep his good habits to learn more knowledges. Willian has been my icon on learning English. I am pleasure for I have this kind of friend. Sometimes, when I want to give up my plan, his persistence and hard work is worth my studying. To be frank, here everyone should learn from him.
