预先设定的行动
They suggest that what we think of as free will is largely an illusion: much of the time, we are simply operating on automatic pilot, and the way we think and act—and how well we think and act on the spur of the moment—are a lot more susceptible to outside influences than we realize.
书里说明很多时候我们并不是自己所认为的那么自主，更多时候是不自觉的受周遭环境和观念的影响。如书中的文字速配实验的结果所示。这实验貌似只是对字词作配对，但它间接暗示你的行为，如字汇中包含：衰老、夕阳等词，那作为这个实验后，你会不自觉的走路速度都变慢了。
我们都有「说故事的问题」
但其实我们难以查觉自己受环境的影响。一个老师巧妙的暗示，可能就帮助学生解开想破头都得不到的答案，但如果事后问这些学生怎样找到解答的，答案可能五花八门。不是他们说谎，而是他们正如我们一样，不够警觉心理暗示的影响。
这让我意识到，我们需要思考在日常生活中思考，我们是不是让别人一个无意的眼神，左右自己对自己的看法。如果社会歧视女性，女生也千万不要傻傻的自己看不起自己，觉得自己数学一定做不好，觉得自己一定要赶紧嫁人。
我们可以行动起来，改变自己对自己的观感，也改变环境给我们的眼色。例如女孩可以透过充实自己，让自己甩开性别的负担。

prime是一个常见的表达，和prepare差不多be prepared for = be primed for。prepare可以做动词, prepare someone for sth, prepare someone to do something，prime也可以这么用。
