冠词（Article）：在名词之前对名词起限制作用的一种虚词。
一、冠词的分类
1, 不定冠词：没说是哪一个，不特指时用a或an。
We tooka taxito Huizhou yesterday.
I wrote my phone number onan envelope.
A horseis smaller thanan elephant.
2, 定冠词：特指上文提到过的或谈话双方都知道的人或事物，用the。
Is this the book that you are looking for?
She was at home in the garden.
I like the present that I got from mum yesterday.
二、不定冠词的用法
1, 辅音因素前面用a，如：
a day、a ruler、a computer、a bag，a table；
2, 元音因素前面用an，如：
an aspirin、an egg、an igloo、an orange、an umbrella;
an apricot tree、an eagle、an ID card、an old photo、auniform;
3, 在单独的一个字母前不定冠词的用法：
There is an“f”in the word fox.
Mr. Li has one fox,在这句话中的任何一个字母前都需要用an. 如：
There is a "u" and an "s" in the word "use".
三、定冠词的用法
1. 除知道是哪一个外，当所谈论的事物只有一个时，用the，如：
The earth goes around the sun.
Man travelled to the moon many years ago.
2, the的读法。如：
出现在辅音字母前，the读[ðə]，如the cup，the paper；
出现在元音字母前，the读[ði]，如 the aspirin，the egg；
