The bar chart shows the percentage of people of different ages who think they can't live without TV. Overall, the older group was three times more likely than the younger group to believe that television could not be taken away from life, and the proportion believing that television could not be taken away from life increased with age. Younger people don't think television is that important in life. Those aged 18-26 accounted for 18%, and those aged 27-40 increased by 7%. For those aged 41-50, the proportion rose to 32%, and for those aged 51-61 to 36%. About 44 percent of people over the age of 62 cannot do without television. (111 words)
