How To Lead a Team

团队需要一个领导,没有领导的团队注定是战斗力松散的。
The Engineering Manager 的定位是负责团队的绩效产出,效率,组员的幸福指数,并一定需要具备技术优势。
The Tech Lead 的定位是负责技术决策,架构,工作技能。
The Lech Lead Manager 是二者的结合,如果是小团队,可以由同一个人担任。

Traditional managers worry about how to get things done, whereas great managers worry about what things get done (and trust their team to figure out how to do it).

Antipatterns:
Hire Pushovers:不能招只会服从,易受影响的人。
Ignore Low Performers:低绩效需要尽快处理,避免蔓延到团队其他员工,导致高绩效员工流失。
Ignore Human Issues:同理心
Be Everyone’s Friend:管理者不能只当好人
Compromise the Hiring Bar:宁缺毋滥
Treat Your Team Like Children:不能控制欲太强

Lose the Ego:保持humility,respect,trust
Be a Zen Master:时刻保持淡定
Be a Catalyst:当催化剂
