It hit me that my airpod was still in the pocket of my favorite denim coat, which, having been washed, lay tangled with other clothes in the washing machine.
At the very thought of this, heart sinking to the bottom, I stormed out to the washing machine and retrieved my little treasured piece, with large waves of regret sweeping over me.
I took it out, had it dried with hot air from my drier, connected it with my device and put the earphones on into my ears. To my great relief, music flowed out, undamaged.
For the time being, it looks that my airpod has survived the destructive wash and works well for me.
