In today's lesson,we are going to talk about three things:
1.different views between you and your parents on marriage.
你和父母对于婚姻的不同看法
2.different views between you and your parents on having children.
你和父母对于生孩子的不同看法
3.different views between you and your parents on your career.
你和父母对于事业的不同看法
Part 1：婚姻观
My parents are pressuring me to get married.
我的父母催我结婚。
pressure=n.压力；v.施加压力，强迫
pressure sb. to do sth.
催促或者强迫某人做某事
For example:
Many people pressured Jack Ma to donate to the victims.
You are not getting any younger.
你已经老大不小了。
When I was at your age,I was already married to XXX.
They are looking forward to having grandchildren.
他们期待抱上孙子。
look forward to doing sth.
期待，期待做某事
句式：

对话：

This for your own good.

You are studying for your sake.

For example:
I am too poor to afford a car.
I am waiting for Mr. Right.

I don't want to make do with an unhappy marriage.
我不想将就1一段不幸福的婚姻。
make do = 将就
Getting married is a big decision.
婚姻大事，不能儿戏。
a big decision = 重大决定
For example:
Choosing your college major is a big decision.
Why don't you see things from my perspective and accept my way of life?
就不能从 我的角度看问题，接受我的生活方式？
Why don't you+动词原形?
你为什么不...?，可用于给他人建议。
from one's perspective
从某人的角度
For example:
From my perspective,they are doing a great job.
set somebody up = 为某人安排相亲，牵线搭桥
For example:
Fine,set me up.
I can set you up with a friend of mine.
go on a blind date = 相亲
For example:
I went on a blind date yesterday.
My mother set me up with the daughter of her friend.
Did you go on a blind date last Saturday?
Part 2：生育观

For young people,having children is no longer the ultimate goal of their life.
对年轻人来说，生孩子不是人生的终极目标。
Part 3：职业观
civil service exam = 公务员考试
Central government jobs are often described as a "golden rice bowl" for their stable income and generous benefits.--CNN
golden rice bowl = 铁饭碗
set up sth. = 创立，建立
For example:
The company plans to set up a new department.
XXX takes time = 某事需要花费很多时间
For example:
Learning to play the piano takes time.
set up one's own business = start one's own business = 创业
For example:
They don't want her to start her own business.
It's huge risk.
这件事风险太大了。
LIfe isn't the same now as it used to be. Times are changing.
