I have to say I strongly disagree with Amy Chua. Being completely different from Chua, my parents hardly ever force me to do anything i do not like. Their educating style is more western than traditional. The only thing they force me to do is attending school, which has brought me tons of depression. They do understand me but they can’t save me from school as it’s illegal to do so. The result is i have to deal with mountains of homework every single day and nearly have no time to do the things i love. But luckily, my parents always support me to have my own hobbies. One of my experiences is playing the clarinet, i started it when i was 10 and have been to the famous Golden Hall with my beautiful instrument. My parents encouraged me when i was tired of practice and taught me a lot about music. This is my experience. Again, i feel lucky of not being a part of the Chua’s.
