1、Our plan is to get you all working in September, after a week's training starting on the 2nd, so we'll be timetabling you for duties the following week, from the 9th onward.(C20 Test2 Part2第34句)
今天跟读这句话，我才发现timetable原来还可以做动词，表示为。。。安排时间，而且是及物动词。
另外学到一个新的表达，用来表示具体某个时间点开始持续向前，没有间断，就是这句话中的from the 9th onward。类似的例句还有from next monday onward, we'll implenment the new policy. (从下周开始，我们将实施新政策）,另外还有一个固定的搭配，就是onward journey， onward flight，表示从现在开始的下一个航程。
这个onward与forward有时容易混淆，forward更多用来表示动作或者位置向前，比如move forward。
2、As a thank you to the volunteers, we arrange an annual event.(C20 Test2 Part2第37句)
跟读这句话发现，原来thank you还可以作为一个固定名词来用。这种表达就非常口语话，如果是写作当中，可能更倾向于to show gratitude to volunteers, 或者to honor volunteers.
3、It's on Saturday, September the 28th, and if you'd like to attend, you can sign up once you start work.(C20 Test2 Part2第40句)
这句话中的日期表达，应该是英式的，美国英语当中会直接说September 28th。我发现老外在口语中，经常两种表达方式都混用，比如这篇对话的前面，有说September 23rd，就没有加the。
