Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism is characterized by increased metabolic rate and increased serum free thyroid hormone levels. There are many symptoms, mainly including palpitations, fatigue, weight loss, andtremor. Diagnosis is based on clinical manifestations and thyroid function tests. Treatment depends on the cause.
