It's the last day before the Chinese New Year of 2019. As everybody is getting ready for the new year's festivities, I can't help but thinking until when people in our country will realize that grains are not so good for their bodies.

Wheat, especially well processed white flour is not a favorable food in the latest food critics’ list. I have been an advocate for the low carb diet since I stayed China. I have told all my friends and family to avoid eating white steamed bread and white rice whenever I get a chance.

Simply put, if you wish to lose weight, to be healthier, you need to reduce your carb intake and find alternative healthier food. Well, what would the alternatives be, you may ask. That would be another topic later.
