Indefinite articles：a or an
1. We use it before an adjective + singular noun.
There is a dog in the car.
2. We use ‘a’ before a word beginning with a consonant sound(辅音).

3. We use ‘an’ with words beginning with a vowel sound(元音).
an apple an eagle an umbrella ......
Definite articles：the
1. We use ‘the’ before both plural an singular countable nouns and non-countable nouns.
the man the rainbow the phone .....
2. We use ‘the’ before a adjective + noun.
The big house on the second is mine.
3. We use ‘the’ before singular and plural nouns when the noun is particular or specific.
I want to buy the car.
Articles
London is an exciting city. It is a big city. I visited it last year. I liked Madame Tussaud’s very much. There are over 300 wax figures inside that wax museum.
I also spent time at the London Eye. It is the world’s largest observation wheel and provides a panoramic view of London and its skyline from the south bank of the River Thames.
