I’ve watched the movie “Ash is the purest thing” twice, which is directed by Jia Zhangke, this is his second film i’ve watched. And it’s the first movie that i wanted to watch it in the cinema one more time. I tasted a lot of flavors from this movie. Maybe because i was born in the north of China, so many scenes are so familiar, but they are not existing any more, they already left in my memories, but this film woke them up, and the memories just flooded to my mind. The entire colors of the movie he used, the young gangsters appeared in my high school, who thought he is everything, who thought he is not afraid of anything, who thought the existing of authorities is only for their challenge, and the love. The whole world will be changed totally, how the people in that wave acted. And the grey winter. Everything and everyone are fascinating. Especially the female actor is so alike my grandma, who has passed away for a long time. It is a great film.
