  1. I have a clog, and you're a plumber, right? The clog's in the pipe.
  • clog/klɒɡ/ : to (cause something to) become blocked or filled so that movement or activity is difficult.
    eg.
    -The narrow streets were clogged with traffic.
    -Tears clogged her throat.
    -Within a few years the pipes began to clog up.
  • plumber /ˈplʌmə(r)/ 水管工
  1. You and the kids wanted a change of pace, something fun I get it.
  • a change of pace 变手法, 换口味
    eg.
    -A change of pace will probably do you good.
    -They are craving a change of pace in their humdrum (乏味) life.
  1. I want to divorce, I just can't live in this, this detergent commercial anymore.
  • can't live in 无法忍受
  • detergent /dɪˈtɜːdʒənt/: 洗涤剂; 去垢剂; 洗衣粉
    eg.
    -Joe put the plug in the sink and squeezed some detergent over the dishes.
  1. I got you the honey mustard dressing, The ranch looked just a little bit suspect.
  • honey mustard 蜂蜜芥末酱,感觉很黑暗
  • ranch /rɑːntʃ/
    eg.
    -a cattle ranch
    -a sheep ranch
    -He went to work on a ranch.
  1. I got you call, you sounded a little frazzled. Yeah, it's been a little rough.
  • frazzled /ˈfræzld/ 疲惫而烦躁的
    eg.
    -I feel frazzled out; that's what I mind.
    -But I am short-tempered, frazzled from all responsibilities.
  1. Bree sobbed quietly in the restroom for five minutes.
  • sob 抽噎;啜泣;呜咽;
  • sob your heart out 悲切地哭泣;很伤心地哭泣
  1. The lawn hasn't been mowed. I've had it.

  • mow /məʊ/ 割;修剪
  • mow sb↔down(用交通工具或枪)杀死,撂倒,扫倒
    eg.
    -He hired a man to mow the lawn.
  1. You save it / Save it = Give me a break = Come on 都有“得了吧”的意思
