According to Li Lanqing' s interview I know three reasons that why the reform when people may ask, given the huge achievements.
First, according to dialectics, everything develops and changes. Second, our whole economy is in fundamental transition from central planning to a socialist market economy,which calls for every field of endeavor, education included, to change and adapt to the needs of development. Third, the old economy and science and technology can no longer keep pace with the progress of today.
Why such a great change of heart?
From responsibility to devotion, I know Li Lanqing's thinking and more things about Chinese' reform etc.
China has more laws about education. For example, Regulations on Academic Degree enacted in1980, law of the PRC on the National Common Language in 2000, and Privately-run Education Promotion Law in 2002...etc.
I mean no matter how it feel so hard and there is a secrete in the future though paiting this picture while keep pace with endeator.
"however poor we are, we should give priority to funding for education."
That must be truth.
