On the stage of a big theater, there are some human beings with cat-eared costumes. One of them, Munkustrap, sings loudly while standing in the middle of these animal-costumed actors. He is complaining and joking about the Gumbie Cat whose name is Jennyanydots. The Gumbie Cat, whose figure isn’t appeared on the stage in the first place, of course is the protagonist. She is being discussed and talked by all the animals here. In the description of Munkustrap, the Gumbie Cat wears a coat of the tabby kind with tiger stripes and leopard spots and all day sits beneath the stairs or on the steps or on the mat. Then a cat is pulled out from a wooden box, whose name is cried out from the mouths of the trio. The three female cats sitting on the top of an another box sing aloud the Gumbie Cat’s busy, however. The Gumbie cat, accompanied by the trio’s song, gets the mice lined up on and teach them.
