Since his defeat in the recent elections, the former Prime Minister, Mr. Wentworth Lane is now retiring from political life and has gone abroad. After the elections, my friend
Patrick, a fanatical opponent of Mr. Lane 's Radical Progressive Party, went to the
former Prime Minster's house. He asked the policeman on duty that if Mr. Lane lived
there. The policeman told him that the ex-Prime Minster had gone abroad since his
failure in the elections. On the next two days, the same policeman had been kept on
pestering by Patrick with the exactly same question.Though he lost temper, the
policeman eventually gave Patrick the same answer. Patrick said that he loved to be
heard from the policeman.
