Today is Saturday.
They spent a long time to find a place to settle down because there were so many people on the beach. Finally Mama got a small place a little bit far from the bathhouse to spread the blanket and put their lunch and sweaters on it. The girls couldn't help rushing into the water. Henny shouted that it was cold. They got back from the water and walked in a row hand in hand into the water until the surface was as high as Gertie's chest. They sunk whole of their bodies into the cold water and made themselves wet from head to toe. What a cool feeling they got. They splashed water to each other and played the ball taken by Mama. Mama couldn't get them out. The girls came back onto the beach reluctantly even their lips were blue and they couldn't stop their bodies quivering. Mama wrapped them with sweaters and took out their lunch, the sandwiches and even a chocolate cake bought from the store. The girls had never eaten such delicious food that they emptied all the boxes.
