释义:to perform in a specified way in a particular situation or over a particular period 

“fare”可以作名词也可以作动词,作名词最常见的意思是“票价”。作动词的意思是“进行、表现”,比如我们说一个人或一家公司过得怎么样,除了用 do,perform 等词,还可以用 fare。这个意思虽然简单,用法也很单一,但却是很多英语学习者很少能想得起的地道用法。fare 后面一般接 well, badly, better, poorly 这样的副词。
