World Diabetes Day

World Diabetes Day falls on November 14. It was started by the World Health Organization and the International Diabetes Federation in 1991.

Later, it became an official UN observance day.

Diabetes is a common chronic illness. If it is not well controlled for a long time, it will harm organs such as eyes, kidneys and hearts and cause serious health problems.

The number of people with diabetes around the world keeps rising, and it has become a big public health challenge. This day helps people know more about diabetes.

It spreads knowledge about prevention, early checks and proper disease management. Healthy eating, regular exercise and keeping a proper weight can lower our risk.

It also calls on us to care for people living with diabetes and make sure they can get medical help. Early discovery and good management reduce harm and keep us healthy.
