According to Business Insider, KFC is the most popular fastfood chain in China, making nearly $5 billion in 2017.

Reports say it has appealed to Chinese consumers by adapting the main menu to local tastes such as rice porridge and egg tarts.

In China the KFC brand is also perceived as high quality, compared to America where it is considered to be cheap fast food.

As of now, China is home to the most KFC's in the world with 5,200 locations. That is double the amount of spots McDonald's currently has in China which is around 2,500.
