(Part A Intention) Unfortunately, I failed to meet you at the railway station because (原因) my train arrived 15 minutes later than it had been scheduled.
(Part B) However, I was lucky enough to encounter (=come across) Mr. Taylor and his wife along the trip, a Chinese couple (并列) currently settled in the US. They offered me a ride to your accommodation (=apartment) but (转折) it turned out you were out.
(Part B) By far it's becoming dark so that (结果) I have to stay at their place in Brooklyn (地点). In addition, (细节) I may accept their invitation for dinner, which (影响) reminds me of the taste of home. But it cannot be better if you reach me at 64611128 before too late.
