The thought after reading The kite runner
For you , a thousant times over.
I've spent my whole afternoon reading this book and finished it eventually. It tells a story between Amir and his servant Hassan . Hassan treated Amir as his friend, and beared all the suffering for Amir. To make Amir's father look up to him, Amir, as well as Hassan, made efforts to win the first pirze of the kite contest. And they really got it.
To acquire the other privilege - finding the last-dropping kite, Hassan went to do it alone. After the sun setting, Hassan hadn't come back yet. So Amir went to find Hassan. Then he spotted Hassan at the coner of an alley. Assef and his two conponies blocked the way, trying he to make him surrender the kite. Hassan tried to protect the kite with his life, nevertheless, he was too weak to fight against them. Amir didn't dare to face them, only hidihg in the shade, because he was too scared to face the strong Assef. He just hid, without any action, watching them who were fucking into Hassan's ass hole. He just had done nothing for Hassan, but witnessed how Hassan had been humiliate...
Since that, between Amir and Hassan have been estrangement. Amir cheated his father that Hassan had stolen something. Hassan and his father left Amir's home to protect him from the punishment. Nobody knew they would never meet each other anymore...
Afterward, Afganistan War broke out. Amir and his father fled to America. Then Amir fell in love with the beautiful girl Soraya. Before long, Amir got married with her, and his father passed away. Rahim told him that he should retern to hometown and there were some ways to get life better. He said that Hassan had got married and had a son, and had been protecting the house of Aimr until his death. Hassan had been assulted to death by Taliban and only left a son in the world. Rahim let Amir save the child. And he told Amir a excessively shocking secret that Hassan and Amir are half-blooded brother. This destoried the awesome impression which had ever been in the herat of Amir. Amir had used to be a cowardice man, but he eventually took courage to come back to hometown, with the constant request. But now, Assef had been the head of Taliban. Assef took away the child of Hassan from the orphanage and humiliate just like what they had done to his father. Amir met Assef and requested to take away the child. Assef told him that he would take the child away if he could win the in their fight. At last, the child shouted Assef's left eye and esacaped with Amir...
A few years later, Amir untied the child's heartknot with a flying kite.
The novel The kite runner, the name of it means running for something you are finding all your life. To get himself better, he became a brave man from a cowardice man by his bravely running.
Some other persons in this novel moved me a lot too, especially Amir's father. He did the good to others all his life. He built up an orphanage and help a number of people. In America, he taught Amir the principle to be a better man and prepared everything for him. Even on the last several days of his life, he helped Amir to propose a marriage.
The athor is an Afgan. In my pression, Afganistan is a country which has been suffering from war. Till now, it remains a country in the war. The novel uncovers the pain of Afgans, which is from the war. This is the reason why the book get so many favourable reputations.
