Rubbed off on someone：to become part of someone because that person has been in a place where it was present. It usually describes a person who is having a personal influence on another person, so that it can be said that some of their character traits or mannerisms or whatever are ‘rubbing off on someone.’  { 某人的习惯或特点传给(别人),感染(别人) }

E.G.1：We hoped some of their good manners would rub off on our children.

E.G.2：She’s quite theatrical, which rubbed off on me – I like finding out about people.
