Change could surprise you only if you didn’t expect it and weren’t looking for it.The results of many changes can take a long time to accumulate.However, most stubborn people are impatient to wait.They don’t have enough courage and assurance to face the uncertain future.So they choose to stay in the comfort circle and image the future achievements.
For example, we were working on a design project recently.Duo to the lack of research work in design investigation, our preliminary design scheme extremely has no basis. When the teacher suggested that we should seriously carry out an investigation, we delayed for a long time and were unwilling to make changes because of the heavy study and insufficient time.
Although everyone in the group was miserable ,they were unwilling to face a series of complicated work during the design survey.The project began to stagnate.
At this time, I cant’t stand the design scheme which had tons of holes. If we keep on procrastinating like this, we are only waiting for failure! Therefore, I proposed to start the investigation.In fact, the investigation process is not as complicated and difficult as we think. In the end,we finished very well and received praise from the teacher.
The best way to judge is to predict the results of maintaining the status quo, rather than focusing on what can be achieved by maintaining the status quo.Use the fear towards the consequences of complacency to overcome the fear towards change.
