The magic word "love" in our society/literature is usually described as falling/crushing/burning/hitting/burning and crazy/miserable/romantic/happy/painful/forever/sweet/heart-broken, these descriptions shape our idea and anticipation of how love supposed to be, which are poisoning. The speaker said, instead of falling into love she'd rather step into love. She saw love as a collaborative work of art and an aethestic exprience. Her suggestion is stop being passive to just accept what love leads without your control or consent but to reframe and create love with someone you admire.
