Follow me. ---Mark1:17
One of the biggest obstacles to follow Jesus is the temperament as an excuse. Our own disposition, together with our natural inclination is often an obstacle to our approach to the Lord. When you come to the Lord, the first thing you will find is that he is not aware of our natural tendencies. We all have the notion that we can give our talent to God as a gift. In fact, it is impossible for you to give anything that doesn’t belong to you. There is only one thing that you can give, and that is your sovereignty. As soon as you surrender your sovereignty to God, he will make a sacred test on you, and his experiment is sure to success. One of the hallmarks of the saints is the creative power in the virtue, which comes from the total surrender to Jesus.
In the life of the saint, there is a strange spring of life keeping coming out and regenerating life. The spirit of God is a well of water, out of springing spring forever. The saints know that God arrange all kinds of circumstances, so they do not complain about their troubles and they run recklessly toward Jesus. Do not make the principles from the experience; what God creates in others will do in you.
If you are completely committed to Jesus and he calls you “come”, you will come, and he will continue to say “come” through you. You are the voice in the world that Christ is coming. This is the inevitable result of every surrender to Jesus. Did I come to Jesus? Shall I come now?
Dear God, your great and glorious plan has been and is being accomplished before the eyes of all our hearts. God, though we see no way forward, we know and trust in you. May you keep your minds and hearts strong and quiet in you.
