骑着扫帚的女巫正在天空飞翔呢，女巫开始了一场场偶然的遇见，开始了“友谊的加法”，开始了快乐的旅行，可是，事情会不会就这样一帆风顺呢?
The witch had a cat and a hat that was black,
女巫有一只猫和一顶很高的黑帽子，
And long ginger hair in a braid down her back.
金黄色的长辫子垂在她的后脑勺儿。
How the cat purred and how the witch grinned,
猫咪开心得喵喵叫，女巫抿着嘴巴眯眯笑，
As they sat on their broomstick and flew through the wind.
当他们坐在扫帚柄上时，在风中飞翔。
But how the witch wailed and how the cat spat,
但是女巫为什么哭了，猫也跟着呜呜叫，
When the wind blew so wildly it blew off the hat.
因为一阵狂风吹来把女巫的帽子吹掉了。
"Down!" cried the witch,and they flew to the ground.
“下去！”女巫一声大叫,魔扫帚降落到地面。
They searched for the hat,but no hat could be found.
他们找啊找啊找,可连帽子的影儿也没看见。
Then out of the bushes on thundering paws
忽然矮树丛里，什么东西噼噼啪啪往外跑
There bounded a dog with the hat in his jaws.
跑出来的是只小狗，嘴里叼着女巫那顶黑帽。
He dropped it politely, then eagerly said
小花狗把帽子轻轻一放，接着急急忙忙开了腔
(As the witch pulled the hat firmly down on her head),
（女巫急忙把帽子紧紧戴到了头上），
"I am a dog,as keen as can be. Is there room on the broom for a dog like me?"
“我是一只小狗，扫帚上可否坐得下像我这样的狗？”
"Yes!" cried the witch,and the dog clambered on.
“坐得下！”女巫说道，小狗马上爬上扫帚。
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh! they were gone.
女巫拍拍扫帚，呜！——他们就飞走。
Over the fields and the forests they flew.
飞过森林，飞过稻田。
The dog wagged his tail and the stormy wind blew.
小狗开心得摇尾巴，大风呼呼迎面吹。
The witch laughed out loud and held on to her hat,
女巫哈哈大声笑，可把帽子抓得牢，
But away blew the bow from her brain--just like that!
没料到，辫子上的蝴蝶结，却一下子给吹掉！
"Down!" cried the witch,and they flew to the ground.
“下去！”女巫一声大叫，魔扫帚降落到地面。
They searched for the bow,but no bow could be found.
他们找啊找啊找，可连蝴蝶结的影儿也没看见。
Then out from a tree,with an ear-splitting shriek,
忽然从大树上传来一声鸟叫。
There flapped a green bird with the bow in her beak.
一只翠鸟飞下来，蝴蝶结就叼在她嘴角。
She dropped it politely,and bent her head low,
她把蝴蝶结轻轻放下，深深鞠躬把话讲，
Then said (as the witchtied her braid in the bow),
（女巫急忙把蝴蝶结重新扎到辫子上），
"I am a bird,as green as can be.
“我是一只小翠鸟，翠绿羽毛人人夸。
Is there room on the broom for a bird like me?"
扫帚上可否坐得下像我这样一只鸟？”
"Yes!" cried the witch,so the bird fluttered on.
“坐得下！”女巫说道，小翠鸟马上飞上扫帚。
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh! they were gone.
女巫又拍拍扫帚，呜！——他们就飞走。
Over the reeds and the rivers they flew.
飞过芦苇，飞过小河。
The bird shrieked with glee and the stormy wind blew.
小鸟乐得吱吱喳，大风呼呼迎面吹。
They shot through the sky to the back of beyoud.
他们飞过天空，飞到很远很远的地方。
The witch clutched her bow--but let go of her wand.
女巫把蝴蝶结抓得牢——可这回却掉落了魔棒。
"Down!"cried the witch,and they flew to the ground.
“下去！”女巫一声大叫，魔扫帚降落到地面。
They searched for the wand,but no wand could be found.
他们找啊找啊找，可连魔棒的影儿也没看见。
Then all of a sudden from out of a pond
忽然从池塘里
Leaped a dripping wet frog with a dripping wet wand.
跳出一只湿漉漉的小青蛙，青蛙拿着那根魔棒，魔棒也是湿答答。
He dropped it politely,then said with a croak
他轻轻放下魔棒，礼貌的开始呱呱讲
(As the witch dried the wandon a fold of her cloak),
（女巫，急忙用她的外套擦干那根魔棒），
"I am a frog, as clean as can be.
“我是一只小青蛙，讲究卫生人人夸。
Is there room on the broom for a frog like me?"
像我这样一只青蛙扫帚上可否坐得下？”
"Yes!" said the witch,so the frog bounded on.
“坐得下！”女巫说道。小青蛙马上跳上扫帚。
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh! they were gone.
女巫又拍拍扫帚，呜！——他们就飞走。
Over the moors and the mountains they flew.
他们飞过沼泽，他们飞过群山。
The frog jumped for joy and...
青蛙乐得蹦蹦跳......
The broom snapped in two!
咔嚓一声——扫帚一下子断成了两半！
Down fell the cat and the dog and the frog.
猫啊，狗啊，还有青蛙，全都往下掉，连同半根魔扫帚。
Down they went tumbling into a bag.
他们一个一个倒载葱，掉进了一个烂泥溏里头。
The witch's half-broomstick flew into a cloud,
可女巫和那另外半根魔扫帚，却飞入了云中，
And the witch heard a roar that was scary and loud...
云中忽然传来一声咆哮，吓得女巫的心扑通扑通......
"I am a dragon, as mean as can be,
“我是一条大恶龙，恶得不能再恶，
And witch with french fries tastes delicious to me!"
我要拿女巫加上炸薯条当作点心吃了！”
“No!” cried the witch,flying higher and higher.
“不行！”女巫大声喊道，飞得更高更高。
The dragon flew after her,breathing out fire.
大恶龙紧紧跟在她后面，喷出火舌去把她烧。
“Help!”cried the witch,flying down to the ground.
“救命啊！救命！”女巫大声叫。飞回地面上。
She looked all around but no help could be found.
她往东望望，往西瞧瞧，看来不会有谁来帮忙。
The dragon drew nearerand licking his lips,
大恶龙越逼越近，他舔着嘴巴狞笑，
And said,"Just this once I'll have witch without fries!"
又说，“也许这一回就光吃女巫，不加薯条！”
But just as he planned to begin on his feast,
大恶龙正打算开始吃他这顿大菜，
From out of a ditch rose a horrible beast.
忽然从泥潭里冒出来一只可怕的怪物。
It was tall,dark and sticky,and feathered and furred.
这只怪物浑身黏糊糊，又黑又高，身上又是皮毛又是羽毛。
It had four frightful heads,it had wings like a bird.
它有四个吓人的脑袋，它的翅膀像只鸟。
And its terrible voice,when it started to speak,
它那可怕的声音,说起话来那声音，
Was a yowl and growl and a croak and a shriek.
又是汪汪，又是喵喵，又是呱呱，还会叽叽喳喳叫。
It dripped and it squelched as it strode from the ditch.
怪物大摇大摆地从泥塘里走出来，身上的泥浆还往下掉。
And it said to the dragon,"Buzz off!-That's my witch!"
它对大恶龙怒叫：“快滚开——别动我的女巫！”
The dragon drew back and he started to shake.
大恶龙吓坏了，浑身直哆嗦。
"I'm sorry!" he spluttered.
“对不起！是我的错！”
"I made a mistake.
“都是我的错。
It's nice to have met you,but now I must fly"
很高兴见到你，我这就走，这就走。”
And he spread his wings and was off through the sky.
他赶紧张开翅膀，腾空开溜。
Then down flew the bird,and down jumped the frog.
这时候，飞下来一只小鸟，接着跳下来一只青蛙。
Down climbed the cat,and,"Plew!"said the dog.
再接着爬下来的是那只猫，“请！”小狗说。
And,"Thank you, oh, thank you!" the grateful witch cried.
“哦，谢谢你们！谢谢你们！”女巫满心感激。
"Without you I'd be in that dragon's inside."
“要是没有你们，我这会儿已经到了恶龙的肚子里。”
Then she filled up her cauldron and said with a grin,
接着女巫生好火，支起了锅。
"Find something,everyone,throw something in!"
“你们各去找样东西来，放进这大锅！”
So the frog found a lily,the cat found a cone,
青蛙找来一朵大百合，猫咪找来一个松果，
The bird found a twig and the dog found a bone.
小鸟衔来一根树枝，小狗叼来一根骨头。
They threw them all in and the witch stirred them well.
他们把这些东西统统放进锅，女巫把它们搅来搅去。
And while she was stirring she muttered a spell.
她一面搅，一面念咒语。
"Iggety,ziggety,zaggety,ZOOM!"
“咪哩吗哩轰！”
Then out rose...
然后......
A truly magnificent broom!
那是一把非同寻常的魔扫帚！
With seats for the witch and the cat and the dog.
上面有三个座位，分别给女巫、小狗和小猫。
A nest for the bird and a shower for the frog.
给小鸟一个舒适的巢，给青蛙一个淋浴器。
"Yes!"cried the witch,and they all clambered on.
“上去吧！”女巫叫道，于是大家爬上扫帚坐好。
The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh!they were gone.
女巫拍拍扫帚，呜！——他们就飞走。
