Dear teachers and classmates,
Good morning!
My name is [Your Name]. Today, I’m super happy to stand here and tell you about my hometown.
When I was little, my hometown was a tiny, quiet village. The roads were narrow and bumpy. On rainy days, the ground turned all muddy, and it was so hard to walk on. Back then, the tallest building in the village was only two floors high. My grandma always tells me that when she was a kid, people here mostly rode bikes or walked to go out. It took forever to get to the city!
But now, my hometown has changed a lot—like, a huge lot! Those narrow paths are now wide, smooth asphalt roads. Cars and buses run on them every day. Tall buildings are standing everywhere, and many families have moved into new, bright houses with clean rooms. There’s even a pretty park in our village now. We can see green grass, colorful flowers, and cute little birds there. Old uncles and aunties love doing morning exercises in the park, and we kids like to play games there after school.
What makes me most proud is the new library in my hometown. It has so many fun books! Every weekend, I go there to read books about science and history. I’ve learned tons of new things from those books.
These changes make our life better and better. I know these changes don’t just happen by magic—they’re because everyone in my hometown works so hard.
My hometown is just a small part of China. The changes here are just like the changes all over our country. I believe my hometown will be even more beautiful in the future, and our China will be stronger and stronger!
This is the story of my hometown. Thank you for listening!
