We have some colleagues from different countries. When weget together to talk about different cultures, sometimes I can hear someinteresting views about China and Chinese people.

There is one significant common from them, which is usuallyoverlooked by us, is that China is probably one of the safest countries in theworld. It amazes them that a drunk girl wearing miniskirt wanders in the street,ending up nothing happen, and she can get home safe in China.

Colleague A says, when he visited his mother in law inRepublicaDominica,he went out for a small walk after supper in the community around 7pm, he sawsome people sitting there and playing card games for entertainment, but with thegun in their pocket. There is nothing argument, just likethe friends or neighbors get together for happy time, but they still carry thegun for the defense just in case.

Colleague B says, when he goes to visit some countries inSouth America, he always wears shirt with Company logo, but he will have tochange it when he arrives with some old and neutral T shirt. I ask why. He saysif you wear the shirt with company logo, people know that you have a job andthey may hold you as a hostage and blackmail to the company.

When we are bombed by everyday news, we often hear bad thingsand the whole environment impresses us of upset and anxiety in China. But whenwe wear the shoes in foreigners, we will have different views and experience. Cherisheverything we have at this moment.
