I am going to read another book in my list, Pippi Longstocking.

It's a beloved story of a spunky girl and her hilarious escapades. Her name is Pippi Longstocking. She became the neighbor of Tommy and Annika. She had crazy red pigtails,  no parents to tell her what to do, a horse living in the porch, and a pet monkey whose name was Mr. Nilsson. Whether Pippi was scrubbing floors, doing arithmetic, or stirring things up at a fancy tea party, her flair for the outrageous always seem to lead to a new adventure.

Pippi was an orphan. Her mother had died when she was only one year old and her father has been a sailor. They had lived together on the ship until one day her father was blown into the sea and disappeared. Pippi thought her mother always looked at her from heaven and her father had become a king of cannibal on an island. She took a monkey and some gold, and left the other sailors. She went to Villa Villekulla, where her father had bought a house with a garden for her. From then she lived all by herself.
