原文：重大传染性疾病是全人类的敌人。新冠肺炎疫情正在全球蔓延，给人民生命安全和身体健康带来巨大威胁，给全球公共卫生安全带来巨大挑战，形势令人担忧。当前，国际社会最需要的是坚定信心、齐心协力、团结应对，全面加强国际合作，凝聚起战胜疫情强大合力，携手赢得这场人类同重大传染性疾病的斗争。
学生译文：Major infectious diseases are the enemy① of mankind. The COVID-19 virus is spreading all over the world and posing② great threat③ to people’s life and health and bringing daunting challenge to the global public health security. The situation is worrying. At present, it is imperative for the international society④ to strengthen confidence, act with unity and work together to respond to the challenge. We should enhance international cooperation in an all-round fashion, and make concerted efforts of fighting against the outbreak so that we can win the victory of ⑤ the major infectious disease.

翻译批改：
这段话整体比较简单，没有太复杂的句型，但是翻译的时候也要注意细节。并且原文中有很多重复的部分，不必都翻译出来。学生译文比较多，有标出来，但是下面只说其中三点：
① diseases are the enemy： “重大传染性疾病是全人类的敌人” 这句话翻译的时候要注意名词的单复数要统一，按照英语语法，如果主语是Major infectious diseases，那就不能是are the enemy单数.
一般把重大传染性疾病”当专有名词，翻译为Major infectious disease，不加a，也不用复数，后面是is the enemy of mankind.
② and posing：“给人民生命安全和身体健康带来巨大威胁，给全球公共卫生安全带来巨大挑战”是“新冠肺炎疫情正在全球蔓延”带来的结果，结果状语一般用doing表示，所以改为posing a great threat更好。
③ great threat：注意challenge和threat都是可数名词，加冠词a或者an。
④ the international society：“国际社会”一般翻译为the international community。
⑤ win the victory of the major infectious disease：“赢得……斗争”可以是win the victory over the epidemic，注意介词是over，不是of；也可以是win the battle against the epidemic。
