The issue tells us that university students should be required to take various courses outside his/her field of study.A discussion of whether those electives on fields other than professional studies is important, because it determines a student’s mindset upon dealing with different problems existing in this world when he/she graduates.I thinks universities should not require students to select those optional courses, because many universities’ inability to provide students courses abundantly enough, many students’ hardness to perform equally well on every optional course, and students’ unwillingness when they are forced to choose from lectures that impart their interests on their profession.
