Time Management 125 - Achieve Clarify with Mindfulness Medication

Today's topic is: Achieve Clarify with Mindfulness Medication

Today I want to share with you a very valuable habit —— meditation. Meditation is one of the most effective ways to improve your health naturally. If you can practice meditation every day, you will begin to experience positive changes in psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Meditation sounds very noble, and there was a perception that only certain people do meditation, like monks with martial artists. However, meditation is an odd practice by millions of people around the world, people like you and me and with positive effects on their lives. If you're willing to introduce the practice of meditation into your life, you will begin to experience extraordinary and even unexpected changes.

First, I would like to talk about the relationship between meditation and time management. In our previous lessons, I have been saying that the basis of time management is energy management. Experts in the subject of procrastination and self-control highly recommend meditation, because they believe that meditation can reduce procrastination and can enhance self-control.

There are many advantages to meditation.

I meditate every day, sometimes three times a day, and sometimes only once a day. I often meditate before teaching class. Meditation is not magic and it has nothing to do with religion. It does not require special skills. It did not take up a lot of your time. Meditation is a practical and valuable activity that you can do virtually anywhere and anytime. 

Few people understand what meditation will use. I've been asked: "Does meditation mean thinking of nothing?" While I like to explain meditation is a sort of mobile power source in our lives. We can use meditation to recharge your batteries at any time during a busy active schedule. 

The basis of time management is energy management. Every day, we will spend a lot of energy to work in order to conserve as much energy as possible for our busy lives. We must learn to be organized and properly relaxed, whether we are sitting at office chairs or active moving. At night you know how to gain energy, it's sleep. But how does one gain energy during the day? Well, we talk about eating, and exercise, and even noon nap. But is there anything else we can do to give us more energy? 

I've talked about the use of the Pomodoro law or technique when working before. Do you remember it? That's right. 25 minutes to concentrate on work and 5 minutes to rest. In this 5 minutes break, sitting quietly and relaxing your mind by not focusing on specific tasks is a good way to rest. But there are many different kinds of quiet sitting. Quiet is not just about the noise around you. It's about slowing down the noise in your mind. When you need to slow down, and relax your mind, meditation is the method we should use. 

And there are many different kinds of meditation. Some are designed to help us relax, and others to put us into an altered state of consciousness. But the kind of meditation I recommend to you is a method called mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness meditation has existed for thousands of years. I am going to provide a brief explanation of it. But for a more detailed explanation, I have included a link to an article called "Mindfulness meditation effective treatment for procrastination". You can read it. So what does mindfulness mean? Mindfulness is consciously keeping oneself in a state of non-judgment. Non-judgment. A good technique to enter this state of mindfulness meditation is bleeding. In meditation, we can make ourselves more relax by focusing exclusively on our own bleeding. Once the bleeding has been established, we then think of ideas, but without judgment and without emotion. At times you will become distracted and even emotional, as you feel the stress and emotion associated with your ideas. When this happens, immediately redirect your focus to your breathing and let you bleeding bring you back to a state of objective perception -- mindful meditation. 

While practicing mindful meditation, you will generate new ideas. As these ideas accumulated, you will become distracted again. It's OK. Let it happen, and continually bring yourself back to a state of non-judgmental objective mindfulness meditation, flee of emotional stress ending anxiety. 

Those who have listened to previous lectures will know, the brain is not a hard disk, but a CPU. It is meant to process, not store. At any moment, endless ideas can exist in our brains, but the key to get things done method is to collect and then organize all of these ideas, rather than let them fester in a chaotic and unorganized manner inside the brain. Using mindfulness method just like you do with the GTD method, you will begin to understand your ideas much more clearly. 

Has a friend ever come to you in a state of anxiety and panic, asking for your advice? The answers are usually simple and straightforward. But your friend's anxiety prevent her processing and understanding those answers. She comes to you to do that for her, because you will prevent emotions and judgement of intervening. Mindfulness meditation works in much the same way. 

There are many mobile apps that you can use to help guide you to lead your meditation. Give them a try and find one that works best for you. Certain apps will provide music, guidance and has soothing starting and ending tongues. After practicing mindfulness meditation with an app for a while, you'll begin to be able to meditate on your own. Meditation is a great way to relax, remove emotion and judgment from your perceptions, and will give you energy during your day. I highly recommend you give it a try.
