Angela Merkel’s family, a few weeks afterMerkel born in West Germany in 1954, moved to East Germany across the Berlin Wall.Her father took ecclesiastical duties in the German Democratic Republic. LittleMerkel lived in the seminary, which was home to disabled people, with almostevery room crammed sixty men. Lived in East German, Merkel’s family retainedindependence. But their life was disturbed sometimes by suspicions for thefamilies’ origin. But this didn’t cast shadow to her childhood.
When Angela was a litter girl, she was physically clumsy. And she later called herself “a little idiot”. She paid less attention on her appearance but more on her study. In her later life, with her intelligence and will and power, she succeeded in her education and got a doctorate in Chemistry from Leipzig University. Merkel likes Russian culture and learns it since she was a teenager, even she views the leading role of the Soviet Union at a dictatorship which all other socialist countries obey, which became a point for some powers to attack her. But her friends refused to critic her. And some of them did witness her real good qualities and praise her for these.
When Merkel began her political life indemocratic German, her qualities played an important role.
