1. Why “we are wrong about everything”?
Growth is an endless process. When we learn something new, we go from wrong to slightly less wrong. We are always in the process of approaching truth.
2. What caused “false memory syndrome”?
In an effort to achieve coherence, our mind will sometimes invent false memories by linking our present experiences with that imagined past.
3. Tell us a story where you had adamantly thought you were right, but later you found you were wrong.
When I was in senior one, I liked reading novels and sometimes I read them on physics or chemistry, which I had no interest. At that time, I though anyway I would chose the humanities, so these two subjects were not important. But life played a joke, the humanities was cancelled in our school. Then in the following two year, I had to learn science. No matter how hard I was, I couldn’t keep up with other students. I felt regretful.
4. How to be a little less certain of yourself? Please include a personal example.
We have to admit we don’t know, and the more we don’t know, the more opportunities we gain to learn. We have to be open to being wrong, and our values are imperfect and incomplete.
I still want to talk about my relative’s son whom I mentioned in last chapter. If he could realize his fault and don’t repeat it or make less wrong in future, he would solve his problems and walk out of the current depression.
二、感想
Just as Present Mark can look back on Past Mark’s every flaw and mistake, one day Future Mark will look back on Present Mark’s assumptions and notice similar flaws. And that will be a good thing. Because that will mean I have grown.
我们现在回想过去做的很多事都是错的，如我们曾经因贪玩而耽误学习，我们曾经因胆小而不敢尝试新的事物。若干年后，将来的我们再回想现在时，可能会发现有些也是错的。这是好事，意味着我们更加成熟了。
有时我们回首往事时，会经常懊悔，如果当初我不那么做现在就不会如此，如果当初我那样做就好了。
Growth is an endlessly iterative process. When we learn something new, we don’t go from “wrong” to “right.”Rather, we go from wrong to slightly less wrong. We are always in the process of approaching truth and perfection without actually ever reaching truth or perfection.
成长就是一个不断重复的过程。当我们学习新东西时，我们不是马上从错误走向正确，而是从错误到少犯错，再少犯错的过程中。我们总是在不断接近正确或完美，而实际上不可能达到完全的正确或十分的完美。
想起以前的自己，曾因说错一句话，而整天懊悔不已。现在想来这都不算什么。因为芸芸众生中，我们每个人都会犯错，只要找到错的原因，下次不犯或少犯这样的错误就行了。我们不断地从错误中吸取经验的过程，让我们离正确的目标越来越近。

就像迈克尔乔丹曾经说过的那样，“我正是经历一次次的摔倒和失败，才有现在的成就。”对我们来说也是如此，只有经历一次次错误和失败，我们生活才会越变越好。
Some of the most difficult and stressful moments of our lives also end up being the most formative and motivating. Some of the best and most gratifying experiences of our lives are also the most distracting and demotivating.
作者还讲到，有时我们生命中最艰难最痛苦的时刻，往往成为最有意义最激励人心的时刻；而我们生命中最好的最令人满足的时刻，反倒最有可能分散我们注意力，让我们失去动力。
想起第一次求职面试失败的经历，给我留下深刻的记忆。正是因为这次失败，让我更加清楚自己想要什么，自己还有哪些不足，还需要准备什么。也正因为此，才有了下一次面试的成功，所以我很感谢这次失败的经历，它教会了很多东西。
