In the past, no matter you are failures, no matter you are success, but its just past, it had gone from you life, today is your gift, you have today like everyone one have 24 hours, you have too. it's peaceful for everyone, the past experiences are your memory not meaning you always have or always be.
So maybe you might spend time to consider the past, but it just waste you time, I found sometimes I fall into the cliff about the past, but past had pass forever, the past can't come again, remember you have today.
