This week I have a English class, Blake is the teacher.
He wrote a big topic “ IF YOU HAVE $5000, WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH IT?”
Oscar raised his hand,” I would put all of the money into the bank.” We whispered about his idea, I agreed that he should separate some of the money to do other things. Then I raise my hand,” I would put $4000 into the bank, and... put the left $1000 into the stock.”
Vivi raised her hand immediately,”My opinions are different. I’ll put $3000 into bank, and buy a phone with $700...” “ $700 for a phone!?” We whispered. “I’m not finished yet! I am going to buy a bed with the rest of the money.”The room went quiet. Everyone was thinking why would she do such a thing.
Blake broke the silence, and told Jessie to tell us what she would do with the money. Jessica kind of stammered,” I think I would use it to buy anything. Oh, no, no, no... I would put $3000 into a bank, I can buy anything with $200. The last $1800... Hmm...I think I’ll use it for helping poor people.” “Charity.” Blake pointed out the word.” Yes.”
“How about you, Star?” Vivi asked. Star’s answer was very short,“I will spend all the money on video games.” I gasped. Oscar mumbled,”Oh my gof ness!” But Star was like,” I can play video games all day!” We sighed.
Nathan’s opinion is to put all that money into the bank.
James’ idea was to open a hotel with all that money. He explained,” The hotel can make many money in little time, so when I have lots of money,I can open a zoo!” We nodded, showing that we thought this is a good idea.
The TA(teacher assistant, she’s about 20)Penny said,” If I were you, I would spend all the money on make up.”” Oh my godness!” I exclaimed.
Blake said,”Let’s see. Oscar is a saver, and Shirley is an investor. Vivi is...Hmm... maybe, a house person? Jessie is a person who knows how to balance things. Star, of course, he is a spender. Nathan is a saver. James... he is a businessman. And Penny, a spender.” We clapped.
Finally, Blake gave his answer,” I will spend $1500 on living. $500 each for education, stocks, girlfriend, saving and charity. I still have $1000. I will use it to buy a house.”
Wow, now I figured this question isn’t stiff. There is hundreds of ways to spend the money.We need to think for future, for now. We need to think for ourselves and our family.
This is so much fun.
