Christmas cake

This was an English tradition which started centuries ago. OnChristmas eve, plum porridge was served to the people. As years passed, variousother things like dry fruits, honey and spices were used. Soon this porridgegot replaced with the Christmas cake. Christmas cakes are made using eggs,butter, confections, fruits, etc. Today a Christmas cake is an integral part ofa Christmas menu.
这项英式传统早在几个世纪以前就流传开了，以前人们在平安夜喝梅花粥。随着时间慢慢推移，人们还会享用果脯、蜂蜜及香料食物等，随后圣诞蛋糕便代替梅花粥出现了。圣诞蛋糕由鸡蛋、黄油、甜点、水果等烘制而成。现如今，圣诞蛋糕已成为圣诞菜谱不可或缺的一部分。

This refers to the tradition of placing a lighted candle outsidehouses during the Christmas season. A candle signifies hope as it brings lighteven to the darkest room. In the earlier times, when Christians werepersecuted, they were not allowed to practice prayers. Hence, a single candleused to be placed outside the house as a sign that Christian prayers were beingconducted inside.

This is yet another age-old tradition of Christmas. A crib refers tothe Nativity Scene that is prepared using small statues. The first crib everwas made outside a church of St. Francis of Assisi for children to show themhow the Nativity scene was like. Since then, this tradition became verypopular.

Gingerbread man圣诞在西方家喻户晓的童话形象。 出自The Gingerbr
ead man这个传统故事，讲一只刚烤好的姜饼小人为了避免被吃的命运，从烤箱里逃出来，一路狂奔，躲过了老爷爷老奶奶，猪，牛，马，最后在过河时，被狡猾的狐狸欺骗还是被吃掉了。整个故事里姜饼小人一直在唱一句话“Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the
gingerbread man。” 所以“姜饼人”被用来形容那种单纯又勇往直前的人。基本上，有天歌词里说的"bigger
than Gingerbread man's vitality"等同于我们说的“比打不死的小强还具有生命力”的意思。[1]
在英国还流传着一个传说，未婚女子吃下姜饼，即能遇见理想的伴侣。每到盛大的节日，大人们就会将各种形状如心形、人形的姜饼送给孩子们，或偷偷地放入孩子们期待的袜子内。渐渐的，姜饼屋变成了在世界各地风靡的新年礼物。让期待的心承载着节日里的别样牵挂。[1]
材料：牛油100克、糖100克、黑糖胶(也可用蜜糖代替)1/4量杯、蛋黄1只、面粉250克、发粉1/2茶匙、干姜粉1茶匙、肉桂粉1/2茶匙。
糖饰：白糖1/2量杯、蛋清1只、塔塔粉1/4茶匙(用柠檬汁或白醋代替也可)

Christmas Carols 圣诞颂歌，一种习俗，其实就是可以Music，但因为圣诞节是纪念耶稣诞生，最早信徒都是唱圣歌Carol，所以一直沿用Carol叫法，演变至今，已经称为圣诞家庭聚会节目一部分，部分家庭甚至有固定的Christmas Carols，可以是各种各样，甚至是幽默轻快的，调节气氛
