When people move to another country, some of them decide to follow the customs of the new country. Others prefer to keep their own customs. Compare these two choices. Which one do you prefer?
When living abroad, one must strike a balance between retaining the customs and culture of one’s home country and assimilating the beliefs and rules of a new one. This can be a difficult balance to strike, at times. However, I believe that to truly experience another culture, one must absorb at least some of its traits and customs. One must do as the Romans do when in Rome, as the saying goes.
