In the US some students are given places at collge not because they're very clever and have passed all the exams,but because they're good at sport.They play on the college teams,but they also have to do some studying and get some kind of Grades as well.
So,just before the big game,the coach for the college team walked into the changing room,looked at his star player and said,"l'm not supposed to let you play since you faild maths,but we really need you for the game.So,
what I have to do is ask you a maths question,and if you get it right,you can play"
The player agreed,so the coach looked directly into
his eyes and asked,"OK,now think hard and tell me the answer to this: What is two plus two?”
The player thought very hard for a moment,"Two
plus two...um.." he said,then smiled and
answered,"Four?"
“Did you say four?" the coach exclaimed,excited that he had given the right answer.
Suddenly,All the other players on the team began shouting,"Come on coach,give
him another chance!"
